Interesting Observations |
This is a collection of email about Zaino that I've received.
Some of you may wonder why we do this, money would seem a reasonable answer and it is part of it, but if Zaino didn't consistently get responses like these it wouldn't be worth it. I like selling products where every customer is happy. And it's not that every customer is always happy, it's just that Zaino is actually as good as everybody says. We started selling Zaino in January 2001 and since then I think we've had 2 unhappy customers, one of whom never used it and the other decided the corner car wash was was easier.
| I said: Did your car come out OK with the Z-5? JR replied: Fabulous, I can see my mug all over the car! |
| Richard says: I forgot to mention it yesterday. Maybe you've already discovered it. I've found that Zaino Z-2 is a great (actually superior) replacement for Rain-X. My daily driver sits outside and gets dew on the windshield almost every morning. This, combined with the normal window road film makes a mess. Last Jan I used the Zaino glass polish to remove the film but it soon (a few days) came back. So I thought maybe a coat of Zaino might help. It did! The dew just beads up in a perfect pattern (instead of forming rivers down the window) and wipes off cleanly with the wipers (instead of having to leave them on for minutes to clear a returning "fog"). And it last for months. In the rain, it works as well or better than Rain-X (and lasts a lot longer and is easier to apply). I also noticed up at Mammoth that frozen on snow and ice was much easier to remove. |
| Subject: another satisfied customer Ira, Thanks for spending all the time with me Thursday afternoon. Using what you said, and your very detailed guide, I clay-barred, Z7?d, then Z5+ZFX?d (three times) my Marauder (black) and Suburban (dark blue) on Saturday (long day). The Marauder looks shinier than when I bought it. Most swirls are gone and larger scratches are greatly diminished. The Suburban shines like it did new. I found the clay bar easy to use & never dropped it. At first it went so easy I thought I was not doing something right, then I found the rough paint spots. They cleaned up with a few passes. The 3 yr old sap bumps on the Suburban hood came off easier than I would have thought. I had tried to pick them off one by one before but there were too many. How can I tell when the clay is too dirty to use on paint? I would fold it if I started to hear noises other than clay gliding on Z7 (scratching sounds), so it got folded & squished back together a bunch of times. I found that the Marauder got about 2.5 coats of Z5+ZFX from the 5 drop line (0.5 oz polish?) and the Suburban got approx 2 coats. Too thick? This seemed to be as far as I could spread it. I did not have trouble rinsing out the polish mixing bottle with water then Dawn, even when using ZFX. You mentioned this did not work for you. Hopefully I mixed these correctly. Also, I assume the ZFX ruler is stuck to the mixing bottle with the bottom of the sticker even with the bottom of the bottle. The advice to use distilled water to pre-wet the polish applicator was a good idea. I tried tap water once and had to buff off water spots while I wiped off the dried Z5. I also used the leather conditioner. The seats seem smoother (slicker) now. Smells good, but different than new. When I get some more time I will add a few more polish coats to the Marauder to hopefully hide all the swirls and smaller scratches. Regards, |
